Overview of the XLT Crew Cab Long Bed 2WD |
|
| |
|
The full-size F-350 Super Duty pickup truck is offered in different body styles and cab configurations such as Super Cab, Regular Cab, and Crew Cab. F-350 Super Duty is available in XL, XLT, FX4, and Lariat trims. Most of them are available in two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive configurations.
No drastic changes have been made to the Ford Super Duty F-350 for 2008. For 2008, the Super Duty has been redesigned with a huge grille that sits on its nose while a new diesel engine fits under the hood. The King Ranch version is offered only on Crew Cabs and the FX4 trim and is not offered on 2WD configurations.
For an excellent hauling capacity, dual-rear-wheel versions are available. When properly equipped, a dual-rear-wheel F-350 pickup can tow and haul an astounding 16,000 pounds. The F-350 is designed with a TowCommand system that has an integrated electric trailer-brake controller. A new FX4 package adds skid plates, body-color bumpers, and a billet-style grille on top of the XLT trim; it is only available on four-wheel-drive versions.
The Super Duty F-350 uses a Ford clean diesel technology including a diesel particulate filter to trap soot particles. All in all, it is a riveting combination of solid structure, strength, durability, and class-leading pay load capacity. |

Key Feature of the XLT Crew Cab Long Bed 2WD |
|
| |
|
The 2008 Ford Super Duty would grab the attention of every one who flashes a look at it. With its larger chrome grille, solid body colored bumpers flanked by huge headlights, F-350 has imposing presence on the roads.
In 2008, the Super Duty F-350 pickups are available in a choice of five lengths with either a 6.75-foot or a 8-foot cargo box. Regular Cab models have two doors, while Super Cab pickups add rear half-doors. Crew Cab models have four conventional front-hinged doors. These pickups come with the option of rear-wheel-drive, four-wheel-drive, or single/dual rear wheels on each side.
An optional step extends from the tailgate and can support up to 350 pounds to access the bed.
Front tow hooks come standard on all trims. XLT models are designed with a chrome front bumper and a bright grille, versus an argent grille for the XL. Going a step ahead, the Lariat edition gets cab steps, fog lamps, and a sliding rear window. Given its fender flares and dark snout, the FX4 is the most aggressive trim style.
Dual beam jewel effect headlamps are standard on all trims, except the XL trim which comes with halogen headlamps as standard. Front fender vents, four full size doors, a partition-able and stackable cargo box, a removable tailgate with key lock, solar tinted glass and tailgate assist, and pickup box cargo tie down hooks are standard equipments. Roof clearance lamps and stowable bed extender, tailgate step, and dual rear wheels are optional. |
