Hyundai Cars Review

History
Hyundai sold its first car, the subcompact Excel model, in the US in 1986. At the time, few Americans had ever heard of Hyundai or its products. Since that time, Hyundai has expanded and upgraded its product line in the US and now accounts for more than two percent of the US auto market. Hyundai now markets a full line of vehicles from the subcompact Accent to the award-winning Santa Fe sport utility vehicle to the luxurious XG350 sedan. The vehicles were developed exclusively by Hyundai Motor Company and are fitted with engines and transmissions designed and engineered by Hyundai. Chung Ju-Yung founded the Hyundai Motor Company in 1947 as Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. Hyundai Motor Co. (HMC), established in 1967, is the auto sales leader in the Korean domestic market and exports vehicles to 190 countries worldwide.
Expansion
Hyundai Motor Co. operates the world's largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility in Ulsan, located on Korea's southeast coast. In 1996, Hyundai opened the Namyang Technology Research Center, which includes a complete testing facility with a 2.8-mile oval test track and a new aero acoustic wind tunnel. The same year, HMC began production at its state-of-the-art Asan Plant, located in southeast of Seoul. Hyundai's cars and sport utility vehicles continue to provide customers a high level of content and performance at an affordable price. Every vehicle in the lineup demonstrates Hyundai's emergence as an auto manufacturer whose products compete successfully in technology, quality, styling and refinement with automobiles from around the world.
Models

2008 Hyundai Accent (starting at $10, 775)
For more than ten years, Hyundai Accent has built a solid reputation by offering high-quality, great value, unexpected features and performance at entry-level prices. For 2008, Accent offers a host of new standard equipment as well as several exterior and interior improvements that raise the bar in the compact car segment.

2008 Hyundai Elantra (starting at $13, 625)
The Elantra continues to offer smart shoppers style and refinement with unmatched spaciousness, spirited performance and comfort and convenience features. The Hyundai Elantra has maintained a strong position within this segment throughout its history. Already new from headlight to taillight last year, the 2008 Elantra continues to improve with the addition of standard electronic stability control, brake assist and a tire-pressure monitoring system, along with new option packages.

2008 Hyundai Sonata (starting at 17, 670)
The 2008 Hyundai Sonata raises the benchmark for value and standard safety technology in the midsize segment. The Sonata combines striking style, proven dependability, spirited performance and an extensive list of standard features, to further strengthen the Hyundai brand and appeal to a broader range of customers than ever before. Advanced new features and continued leadership as the only midsize sedan under $20,000 with lifesaving Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard equipment, make the American-made 2008 Sonata the smartest choice in the competitive midsize sedan segment.

2008 Hyundai Azera (starting at $24, 600)
Hyundai Azera redefines the premium sedan segment and to raise the stakes even higher, packing in more luxury, value, upgrades and standard equipment than ever before. Enhanced design and convenience features, together with a standard, comprehensive active and passive safety technology package make the 2008 Azera an attractive alternative to vehicles like the Lexus ES350, Toyota Avalon and Nissan Maxima.

2008 Hyundai Tiburon (starting at $17, 025)
The new Hyundai Tiburon follows up its 2007 redesign by building on its combination of styling, performance and value. For 2008, the Tiburon is available in four trims - the stylish and affordable GS, the high-performance SE, and the refined GT and GT Limited. The SE model features a unique track-tuned sport suspension, electronic stability control and brake assist.

2008 Hyundai Tucson (starting at $17, 420)
The award-winning Tucson has been honored with numerous accolades for its value, quality and safety, including the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration's (NHTSA) highest five star safety rating. In fact, in its debut year, the Tucson received top honors in J.D. Power and Associates' Initial Quality Study, as the industry's highest quality all-new model launched in 2005 and for the highest initial quality in the compact multi-activity vehicle segment in 2006.

2008 Hyundai Santa Fe (starting at $21, 150)
Its no surprise that the Santa Fe crossover has attracted such a strong following, given its fuel-efficient V-6 powertrains, advanced standard safety technologies, and sleek styling. For 2008, the Santa Fe Limited gets even better, adding a 605-watt Infinity Logic 7 audio system and power sunroof to the long list of standard equipment, and an all-new navigation system to the list of optional equipment.

2008 Hyundai Veracruz (starting at $ 26, 900)
Veracruz, when introduced in 2007, took the auto industry by storm, raising the bar on what consumers could expect in the premium, midsize crossover segment. The Veracruz gets even better for 2008 with a new navigation system. This seven-passenger crossover combines substance, luxury and style that compare with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander, while offering the kind of upscale amenities and premium craftsmanship found in the Lexus RX350 and Mercedes-Benz ML.

2008 Hyundai Entourage (starting at $ 23, 995)
Hyundai's first minivan, the Entourage, earned top marks when first introduced last year. The 2008 Entourage keeps pace with more value and equipment options to suit the needs of families on the go. Sporting a powerful 3.8-liter, V-6 engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission; and equipped with advanced safety features, Hyundai Entourage continues to be a frontline contender in the minivan segment.
