The Acura RL has been refined with upgraded technology for 2008, but otherwise this midsize luxury sedan has no visible changes on the outside or inside. It is available in two trims, sedan and technology package.

The 2008 Acura RL comes with a standard 290-horsepower, 3.5-liter, V-6 engine that excels in city performance as well as on rough surfaces. The RL achieves a fuel economy of 18/24 mpg (city/highway). Standard features are an automatic sequential sportshift transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters; and the all-wheel drive which increases the car's handling and traction abilities.

The Acura RL offers high comfort with its luxury and convenience features, including two-level ventilated front seats for heating and cooling, an air filtration system, keyless access system, sunshades made from UV-fighting mesh, moonroof, multi-information display, adaptive cruise control, and dual-zone and dual-mode automatic climate controls. The navigation system with real-time traffic and voice recognition is optional. The Acura RL is available in different exterior and interior colors.

The 2008 Acura RL is equipped with an anti-lock braking system on all four wheels, rearview camera, active front lighting system, front side air bags, side curtain air bags and vehicle stability assist. The Acura RL technology package features a collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control and Michelin run-flat tires. The Acura RL earned a five-star rating in frontal and side-impact crash tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
