Cadillac has redesigned the CTS for 2008 with new styling, more available power and new features. The all-new 2008 Cadillac CTS is a four-door, mid size luxury sedan available in base and direct injection models. It has a roomier cabin than similarly priced rivals, capable and secure handling, and a smart interior.

The base models have a 263-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine. The direct injection models come with a 304-horsepower V-6. Both engines team with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The Cadillac CTS is offered in both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations. Gas mileage is 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway for the base engine; and 17/26 mpg (city/highway) for the direct-injection engine.

The 2008 Cadillac CTS comes standard with 17-inch, seven-spoke alloy wheels; though 18-inch wheels are available as an option. Feature highlights include a standard Bose audio system with eight speakers and both USB and auxiliary MP3-player jacks. Every CTS comes with a basic package of 32 items relating to luxury, comfort, convenience and safety. This includes all the normal power assists, XM satellite radio, OnStar with turn-by-turn navigation, and a Bose eight-speaker sound system with CD, MP3 and auxiliary capability.

The available safety features in Cadillac CTS include curtain side air bags, front side air bags, an anti-skid system, anti-lock brakes and traction control.
