The all-new, handcrafted interior of 2007 has a new freshness in the 2008 Cadillac SRX crossover, which adds more luxury and conveniences to its blend of driving performance, spacious versatility and passenger comfort. For 2008, SRX adds various features that will delight Cadillac customers accustomed to high levels of service.

The Cadillac SRX features two engine combinations: the 4.6-liter Northstar V-8 VVT (variable valve timing) and the 3.6-liter V-6 VVT. Both are available in rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations. The 6L50 Hydra-Matic six-speed transmission is standard on RWD and AWD versions of the V-8, and provides increased performance and fuel efficiency. The V-8 engine is sophisticated and technically advanced, generating 320 horsepower (239 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 315 pound-feet of torque (427 Nm) at 4,400 rpm. The 3.6-liter V-6 VVT produces 255 horsepower (190 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 254 pound-feet of torque (344 Nm) at 2,800 rpm. The V-6 engine is mated to the Hydra-Matic 5L40, a fully electronic five-speed automatic transmission.

At first glance, SRX is instantly recognizable as a Cadillac, with a close family resemblance to the CTS and Escalade, yet it is unlike any other vehicle on the road. The Cadillac bloodline shows in the chiseled, vertical tail lamps and headlamps, as well as in the V-shaped grille, making the SRX clearly stand out from its European and Japanese competitors. The redesigned interior - now more luxurious and inviting - features a new instrument panel, hand-wrapped upper trim, console, centre stack, door trim, wood trim, analogue clock and steering wheel.

Cadillac SRX's advanced safety features include air bags for driver and front passenger; xenon high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights with high-pressure washers; keyless entry system with remote starter system; OnStar system; Latch (lower anchors and top tethers for children); ultrasonic rear parking assist; and much more.
