In 2004 Chrysler found a winning formula in the Crossfire Coupe, with its low-slung bumper and rear-wheel drive. The Roadster followed in 2005. Judging by the 2008 models, which are a carryover from 2007, it appears Chrysler has yet to strike a similar dollar-earning formula. However, in terms of policy there has been a major change: the SRT 6, with its 330-horsepower, smoke-spitting, supercharged V-6 engine has been discontinued. |

Engine and Performance |

With the discontinuation of the SRT 6, the Chrysler Crossfire now comes with a more toned-down 3.2- liter V-6 engine that generates 215 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of toque. It has an automatic five-speed AutoStick transmission as standard, while a six-speed manual gearbox is optional. |

Body and Styling |

Large sculpted taillights that end just above the exhaust pipes; a receding rear shape; 19-inch wheels in the rear and 18-inch wheels in front; a wheelbase of 94.5 inches and a height of 51.5 inches are some standard exterior features. The interior leaves a few things to be desired in the two-seater Chrysler Crossfire - with the twin cockpit as it is uncomfortable for those making an entry or exit. The seats are attractive with cloth or leather upholstery. |

Safety Features |

Front air bags, which deploy to various degrees depending on the size and position of the occupants; as well as knee bags for driver and passengers make the Chrysler Crossfire a safe bet in most conditions. Augmenting these are side-impact air bags; anti-lock disc brakes on all four wheels; and electronic stability system, all of which are now standard. |
