The 2008 Ford Mustang is a takeoff from 2005, when major changes were made to this model, and retains most of what was offered in 2007. This year's novelty though is the rear-wheel drive performance.

The 2008 Ford Mustang is available in both coupe and convertible versions. Each comes in GT Deluxe and Premium, and V6 Deluxe and Premium trims. The Mustang comes with a basic warranty of 36 months or 36,000 miles, and a 60-month or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. It is a high performance vehicle that does not let down on power, stability and dependability. While the 4.0-liter V-6 gives an output of 210 horsepower at 5300 rpm, the higher 4.6-liter V-8 gives a cool 300 horsepower at 5750 rpm. Add to it its towing capacity of up to 1000 pounds, and this is definitely the kind of power that can be trusted to deliver, rain or shine.

Several standard interior features such as a tachometer, water temperature gauge, low fuel warning and tilt wheel-adjustable steering column enhance the inside. On the exterior are body-colored moldings, black grille trim, and 17- and 18-inch painted and machine-alloyed wheels.

All models come with a host of safety features. Four-wheel disc brakes and anti-lock braking system are common. Frontal and side-impact air bags, driveline traction control, front seat pretensioners and panic alarm are some of the standard safety features in Ford Mustang.
