The standard 2.7-liter V-6 includes continuously variable valve timing and a variable intake system that produces 185 horsepower and 183 pound-feet of torque. The 3.3-liter V-6s output is 242 horsepower and 226 pound-feet of torque, providing improved acceleration and passing power. The 2.7-liter V-6 comes with a standard five-speed manual transmission and is available with an optional four-speed automatic with Shiftronic manual control; while the 3.3-liter V-6 is mated to a standard five-speed Shiftronic automatic gearbox. All Santa Fe models come with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. AWD routes power to the wheels for the best traction in slushy, snowy or off-road conditions. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The Santa Fe can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.
