For 2008, the Infiniti QX56 gets subtle exterior changes and a new interior design. Basically, it is a standard full-size seven-seater sports utility luxury vehicle but it can even allow eight passengers.

The new 2008 Infiniti QX is powered by a 320 hp 5.6-liter V-8 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. It is available in rear wheel or four-wheel drive. Its EPA fuel estimates are 12 mpg city and 17/18 mpg highway.

The 2008 Infiniti QX56 is a large luxury SUV. The standard equipment on all QX vehicles are 20-inch chromed aluminum wheels, xenon headlights, a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, a sunroof and a power liftgate. A power-folding third-row seat, second-row captain's chairs, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, first- and second-row heated seats, power adjustable pedals and power front seats are also included. The options include adaptive cruise control, a second-row bench that increases seating capacity to eight, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system and a tow package for rear-wheel-drive models (It's standard on the QX56 4WD). The instrument panel of the 2008 QX56 has been completely redesigned for 2008 and is now more befitting a luxury vehicle. As a full-size luxury SUV, the QX is more than capable of fitting a large family in comfort. It provides seating facility for up to eight passengers.

The 2008 Infiniti QX56 comes with a number of safety features. All-disc antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, side-impact airbags for the front seats, three-row side curtain airbags, an electronic stability system, active front-seat head restraints and power-adjustable pedals are standard.
