Engine and Performance |

The Kia Spectra5 is fitted with variable valve timing and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 138 hp (132 hp in SULEV). A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, and an automatic is optional. The Spectra5 hatchback gets sport-tuned suspension with 16-inch wheels. Fuel efficiency with the 5-speed manual is 23/30 mpg (city/highway) and it is 24/32 mpg (city/highway) with the 4-speed automatic. |

The Kia Spectra5 has stylish looks, aerodynamic spoilers, side trims, front fog lights, metal pedals, a roof-mounted antenna, and 16" alloy wheels. Though similar in appearance to the Spectra sedan, the Spectra5 has a more athletic profile, a rear lift hatch, and a 6-inch longer wheelbase. The Spectra sedan can seat five people, and has a folding backseat that can increase trunk capacity to18.3 cubic feet. A leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob plus metal pedals are standard. |
