The 2008 Lexus GX 470 is a four-door, eight-passenger luxury sport-utility vehicle, available in one. The 2008 GX 470 has been freshened for 2008.

The 2008 Lexus GX 470 comes with a standard 4.7-liter, V8, 263-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.

For 2008, the changes in Lexus GX 470 include new metallic finish on the grille, roof rack, door handles and tailgate molding. The taillights also have new lens coverings. A moonroof is standard. The standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-upholstered seating and trim, powered front seats, an in-dash six-CD changer, a leather-trimmed power-adjustable steering wheel and an overhead console with an integrated HomeLink transmitter. Its maximum towing capacity (when properly equipped) is around 6,500lbs (2,948kg). The seats are supportive and fairly comfortable.

The standard safety features include side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags for the first and second rows, traction control, an electronic stability system and antilock brakes.
