  2008 Lincoln Mark LT Review
  Overview

The Lincoln Mark LT marks Lincoln's re-entry into the luxury pickup segment after its dismal show with maiden entry Blackwood in 2002. Debuting in 2006, the LT is derived from the Ford F-150. To augment the luxury status of this model, Lincoln has added the latest in audio management technology, Sync, which allows the user to control the audio system or Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone using voice commands.

  Engine and Performance

This five-seat luxury pickup truck has a 5.4-liter, V-8 engine that generates 300 horsepower. The Lincoln Mark LT is equipped with four full doors and a full rear seat.

  Body and Styling

Remote start is an optional feature. Ebony wood accents and soft Nudo leather seating surfaces add a touch of luxury. The seats have been given French-style pleating and a quilted pattern insert, while the instrument cluster has contrasting-color stitching. Among exterior features are chrome surrounds for the brake lights, carried over from last year's refurbished model. Lincoln Mark LT also gets a body-colored grille surround, bumpers and mirror caps. There is an abundant use of chrome, and one can see it on the bumpers, on mirrors, door handles and lower cladding. For 2008, a rearview camera is offered as an option.

  Safety Features

All-disc anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution; three-point safety belts for all seating positions; front seatbelts with pretensioners; dual front air bags that deploy at different levels according to crash intensity; and a front-passenger sensing system are among the standard safety features on the 2008 Lincoln Mark LT.
