2008 Lincoln Navigator Review |
| |
Overview |
|
| |
The 2008 Lincoln Navigator is a carryover from the largely revamped 2007 model. The earlier versions, Luxury and Ultimate, have been withdrawn. This eight-seat sport utility vehicle is big in terms of size and specifications, and comes in standard-length models as well as the Navigator L, which is bigger by 15 inches. In each of these body styles, only one trim level is offered. In terms of styling and performance, the 2008 Lincoln Navigator is built more or less on the same lines as the Ford Expedition. |

Engine and Performance |
|
| |
The 2008 Lincoln Navigator has a 300-horsepower, 5.4-liter V-8 engine that has a six-speed automatic transmission. The two types of Navigators offer rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Having a sole trim, the Navigator has a single powertrain. |

Body and Styling |
|
| |
Standard in the interior is leather upholstery and wood interior trim, a continuation from the previous year. Among the optional features for this year are a DVD entertainment system, Sync, and a navigation system. Standard exterior features for this year are a power liftgate, heated and cooled front seats, and standard 18-inch, seven-spoke chrome aluminum wheels. Also available as standard are power-folding heated exterior mirrors, which can store the setting options of two different drivers; and power deployable running boards. This last feature prevents doors from getting damaged during repeated entry and exit. |
