|
| |
The 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander combines the functionality of a sport utility vehicle with the power of a V-6 engine to deliver agile handling most suitable for a vehicle that promises to 'go anywhere'. The redesigned Outlander is a compact crossover utility vehicle and one of the hottest-selling models in the evolving compact sport utility segment. Loaded with exciting new features, the Outlander comes in ES, LS and XLS trims, each with a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. |

Engine and Performance |
|
| |
Mitsubishi ES versions have a new 168-horsepower, 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). LS and XLS come with a 220-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 and a six-speed automatic transmission. The V-6 is no longer offered on the ES. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all models have a choice of the optional all-wheel drive configuration feature. The warranty is one of the best in the industry with a 10-year/100,000 miles powertrain limited warranty, a 5-year/60,000 miles new vehicle limited warranty, and 5-year/unlimited miles roadside assistance. |

Standard equipment on the base 2.4 ES includes air conditioning, an AM/FM/CD audio system with six speakers, and power accessories with remote. For 2008, all Outlander models are available with a wireless cell phone link and navigation system. |
