The new, sixth generation Nissan Sentra, which debuted in 2007, offers more style, space, quality, performance, and interior flexibility for active lifestyles than any previous Sentra. For 2008, Sentra adds a number of significant enhancements, including additional standard equipment and package content changes for various models.

The 2008 Nissan Sentra is built on Nissan's 'C' platform and offers a standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, standard fuel-efficient Nissan Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) or a 6-speed manual transmission and responsive handling.

The 2008 Nissan Sentra is available in five trim levels -- 2.0, 2.0 S, 2.0 SL, SE-R, and SE-R Spec V. The 2.0 trim has 15-inch steel wheels, a split-folding rear seat, air-conditioning, a CD stereo with an auxiliary audio jack, and power windows and locks. Sentra 2.0 S includes 16-inch steel wheels, a height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry, cruise control, power mirrors, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, and a trip computer. The 2.0 SL comes with alloy wheels, leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless start, and satellite radio. Inside Sentra's spacious cabin are thoughtful and useful features, including a 60/40 split double-fold rear seat, an available hidden trunk storage compartment, and an available integrated overhead compact disc holder.

The 2008 Nissan Sentra comes with front-seat side airbags, head curtain airbags, and anti-lock brakes as standard. Sentra has earned perfect five-stars in government-administered frontal-impact crash tests. It has also earned five-stars for front-occupant protection in side impacts and four-stars for the rear.
