The 2008 Nissan Versa represents a dynamic alternative to current entry-level hatchbacks and sedans. All 2008 Nissan Versa models are equipped with a standard 122-horsepower 1.8-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine that provides the highest standard horsepower rating in its class. The 2008 Versa also delivers excellent fuel economy. Estimated EPA fuel economy is 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway with the CVT transmission; 24 mpg/31 mpg (city/highway) with the 4-speed automatic transmission; and 26 mpg/31 mpg (city/highway) with the 6-speed manual transmission.
