A new six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission (ECT) is part of the powertrain package for the engine. Thanks to this transmission's tall top gear, highway mileage is 1 or 2 mpg more than that offered by the 4.7-liter V-8. The standard 4.7-liter, V-8 engine is mated to a smooth-shifting, five-speed electronically controlled automatic (ECT). While the Sequoia satisfies all requirements to make a great car, it tends to be expensive, loaded as it is with such a wide range of options.
