Scion Cars Review

History
Scion is a brand introduced by Toyota Motor Corporation targeting the young car enthusiasts. It was unveiled by Toyota at the New York Auto Show on March 27, 2002. Scion came into existence from Toyota Project Genesis, a failed effort to bring young buyers to the Toyota brand, in the United States. Scion was introduced with the more production-ready bbX concept, based on the Toyota bB, and the more conceptual ccX 3-door coupe. The 2004 xA and xB were unveiled at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show on January 2, 2003. They were available only in 105 Toyota dealerships in California, when initially launched on June 6, 2003. Then it was subsequently introduced in the South, the Southeast, and the East Coast in February 2004. By June 2004, Scion vehicles were available nationwide and gained popularity as a youth-oriented automotive brand.
Expansion
The Scion tC first rolled out in the year 2005. On December 16, 2006, Scion unveiled the next-generation xB, based on the t2B concept, and the new xD, successor of the xA, in Miami. Officially, both cars were launched on February 8, 2007, at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show. Currently, Scion offers three models - tC, a 3-door liftback; the second-generation xB, a 5-door box-shaped compact wagon; and the xD, a 4-door subcompact hatchback. The Scion introduced the Hako Coupe Concept at the 2008 New York international show. The Hako Coupe is inspired by the boxy style of the Scion Xb. Its mysterious profile features hugely flared fenders, a high linear beltline, and a blackened and chopped wrap-around greenhouse. Exteriors include LED headlights, rectangular grilles, race car-inspired side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and custom 18-inch deep-dish wheels.

It gets power from a 2.4-liter, 16-valve, in-line 4-cylinder engine that utilizes variable valve timing with intelligence technology. This light and compact power plant produces 158 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, and 162 pound-feet of torque. Scion makes it easier for customers to personalize their Scion cars, according to their needs.
